Perdido First Graders took part in an art contest sponsored by United Bank.  The class chose insects as their design theme.  Each child put his or her painted thumbprint on the chair and decorated them to look like tiny insects carrying money to the United Bug Bank.  The slogan they created was "Insect Investments, Save for the Future!"

The winners of the contest were announced on May 1^st.  Perdido won first place the their zone, and 1^st place overall.  All winnings, $750.00, will be given to Perdido PTO.

The chair was on display at United Bank in Atmore until last Friday, and was auctioned off to the highest bidder Friday afternoon.
