 Perdido School greatly appreciates the recent generous financial support from Southern Pine Electric Cooperative, the school's Partner in Education. This financial grant allows Perdido School to maintain its annual subscription to Renaissance Place, the web based version of Accelerated Reader (AR) that allows our students access to over 100,000 reading practice quizzes, S.T.A.R. and S.T.A.R. Early Literacy reading diagnostic assessments, as well as Vocabulary quizzes and Literacy Skills Tests for older student readers.  In addition, the subscription supports the AlphaSmart Mobile Lab of thirty NEO 2 laptops, providing Perdido students at all grade levels access to AlphaWord Plus writing programming, Keywords keyboard instruction, AccelTest real-time assessment, as well as AR quizzing without tying up other computers used for research in the library.
